Shining Star Team

The Shining Star team is comprised of staff with a variety of backgrounds. With more than 35 years combined in the field of mental and behavioral health, the team will work hard to meet your needs.


Diana Wade, CEO

Diana comes to Las Vegas from Southern California where she has worked as a supervisor and milieu specialist in a lock down facility for youth, and as a program director for a foster and adoptive agency. Upon coming to Las Vegas 8 years ago, Diana worked with a local behavioral health company as a PSR worker, HR manager, and finally executive director. Diana has a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership. Diana also teaches for the University of Phoenix, Las Vegas campus.

Celestial Croom, Director of Business Operations

Celestial originally comes from Hawaii and lived Southern California before settling in Las Vegas. She has over 15 years of administrative and office operation experience, including at a behavioral health agency, a major medical laboratory, and a national medical clinic.

Ericka Hulbert, Direct Supervisor

Ericka is a gradaute of UNLV and is an MFT Intern with Shining Star. She has worked in mental health for more than 3 years.

Claudia Arevalo, Safety Manager Supervisor
Claudia holds a bachelor degree in psychology from Nevada State College. She has worked in the mental health field for almost 5 years and is currently the supervisor for Shining Star's Safe-at-Home program

Christie Ackmann, LCSW, Clinical Supervisor

Christie received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1991 from Missouri Western State University.  She received her Masters of Social Work in 2002 from University of Utah.  Christie has had twelve years of experience working within community agencies in Salt Lake City & Las Vegas specializing in substance abuse, domestic violence, co-occurring programs and mood disorders.  In addition to her work with Shining Star, she currently has a private practice in Las Vegas specializing in Mindfulness-Based Interventions.  Christie is a current Clinical Supervisor with the NV Board of Social Workers and is an Agency Field Instructor for the UNLV Graduate School of Social Work.
